The other day I posted photos from a recent 6 month old baby milestone session. What a fun session! I loved it so much, but I keep coming back to a few photos that I didn't share in the original post. These images didn't make the final cut but they just make me so happy with all their goofy outtakes. This is by far my best blooper reel yet, and I wanted to share with you some of the fun. Note these aren't final polished photos, but enjoy the spirit of the blooper photos!

My best friend's little baby is growing so fast! Little Stella is sitting and almost crawling already and I was so happy to play with her and my friend and Stella's big brother who is a bundle of energy! It was so fun taking photos of this active family and I can't wait to see how this little beauty grows!
Emily and I have been friends for almost 14 years. 14 years! We met as freshmen in high school and roomed together freshman year in college (it was great - so great we decided for the sake of our grades to never live together again, ha!). I suffered through a fire ant attack during her wedding and I've celebrated birthdays and holidays with her and her two kiddos and even took newborn photos of her baby Stella. I adore her and her family, and was so happy to catch up with them for a quick photo session. We raced the setting sun (Daylight Savings is the bane of a natural light photographer with a day job) to get some cute holiday photos. Time is running out, so if you want holiday photos, book your session now!
I was so flattered when Meghan and Chris asked me to take photos of their family again for holiday cards! We met up at Yates Mill for some fun around the mill and historic buildings. Lawson has grown so much in just a couple months and it was so fun chasing him around the park. Meghan and Chris, have fun with your adorable energy-filled toddler and happy (early) holidays to everyone!
When Shalane Flanagan and Elyse Kopecky come to Carrboro the crowd comes running. Four time Olympian and Olympic medalist Shalane Flanagan and chef and nutrition coach Elyse Kopecky were in Carrboro on Wednesday to promote their new cook book Run Fast. Eat Slow. The Carrboro event kicked off with a run with Flanagan and Kopecky and drew a crowd of over 300 attendees.
I'm interrupting the regularly scheduled running post today because I'm just SO EXCITED to share these pictures today! I know Allison from my day job and I was so happy when she asked if I'd photograph her beautiful family! Thank you Allison for the chance to chase your beautiful and fun family around for an afternoon!
"I think this may be the most unique beginning to a book reading, well, ever!" the woman at The Regulator Bookshop announced as she introduced Nicole Sarrocco for her book reading of Ill-Mannered Ghosts, the latest book in Sarrocco's Occasionally True series. Around the room the audience chuckled, from friends and family to former students to the "NCSSM Blast Band" that accompanied Sarrocco on her march down Ninth Street from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics where Sarrocco teaches.
A friend of mine has this gorgeous brick home on the market right now in Cary, NC and a week ago she asked me to help her with pictures for the listing. "Something better than cell phone pictures!" she asked, and I was thrilled to have the chance to try something totally new. Real estate photography has its own challenges and I really enjoyed playing with the light and experimenting with the shots and angles of this beautiful house. Check out the images and if you know someone shopping for a house in Cary share the listing link!
